Authorised Legal Activities – Probate
At Sherwoods, we understand that dealing with the death of a loved one is a difficult and stressful time.
We can help by easing the burden of the Grant of Probate application process. Our bespoke service will:
- Assess the validity of the will or apply the rules of Intestacy (where there is no will).
- Complete the Probate application and the required Oath, to be sworn by the Executors and Administrators.
- Complete the Inheritance Tax account, forms required and calculate any tax payable.
- Finish the process by obtaining the Grant of Probate (or Letters of Administration).
When making a personal application, it usually takes an average of three months before the Grant is issued. In most cases, we can normally complete the process in considerably less time than this. Our fees are highly competitive, and we offer a personalised service from our first meeting with you until the award is made. For more details, please contact the office.
